Last year, Bay Shore School District faced an unprecedented attack from a charter school.  Many of you came out to oppose the charter school and to support our school district.  One of the elected officials who joined us in that fight was Assemblyman Phil Ramos.  Due to his opposition to the charter school, Assemblyman Ramos faced a primary challenger who was supported by the charter school lobbyists.  They spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to try and defeat him.  I am proud to say that when BSCTA put out the call to help Assemblyman Ramos, many of you answered the call.  Thanks to the calls we made to voters, Assemblyman Ramos won his primary with an impressive 73% of the vote.  Check out some pictures of our members below and click here for more photos.
