As a block of voters, teachers in New York State can have a major impact on elections both on a state and local level. However, last year less than 1/3 of teachers who were registered to vote actually did so.
These numbers must change!
No matter whom you vote for, the fact that our profession shows itself to be an import part of the constituency of our elected officials, is absolutely essential for us to be able to advocate for the best interests of our schools and our children.
